One of the great mysteries of Ottoman numismatics is this coin, most likely struck in a military camp. Eugen Nicolae identifies this location in the southern part of present-day Romania in the context of Süleyman's campaign against the rebellious Moldavian Voivode, Petru Rareș (1538).
