| Lot description: KM# 235 (A&C# 1352) – 8 Reales 1813 Morelos SUD. AU. - Clásica emisión fundida en plata, diseño de campos ornamentados, el cual es más fino y detallado respecto a las piezas acuñadas en cobre. Un ejemplar de buena manufactura, producto del cuidado en el proceso de vaciado, empleando además moldes en buen estado, con esa inconfundible textura áspera en campos y el sesgado diseño en canto realizado a máquina que pocos ejemplares ostentan a diferencia de la gran mayoría en el que se realizaba con lima, quedando poco más delgado. Este ejemplar fue remitido a PCGS para su graduación, el cual fue calificado como "Authenticity Unverifiable", (adjuntándose el certificado del caso), siendo desde nuestra óptica una moneda fácil de autentificar dentro del tipo, dado a los fallos y remates en la manufactura de bordes y peculiar canto, así como textura del fundido en campos ya expuesto con anterioridad. El estudio de composición metálica reporta plata al 0.9023%, zinc al 0.0014%, oro al 0.0026%, cobre al 0.0922% y plomo al 0.0013%. En cuanto a su conservación, muestra mínimas fricciones en los puntos altos, suciedad alrededor de ciertos elementos y algunos rayones poco notables en diversos sectores rebuscándolos con lupa, ligera pátina oscura, 27.76 gramos. Conforme a nuestros términos y condiciones, respecto a la autenticidad de monedas de Guerra de Independencia, no es posible garantizar que una compañía de certificación autentifique este tipo de piezas, debido a la variabilidad en el criterio y alcance técnico de estos servicios ENGLISH: MEXICO. A well-manufactured example, reflecting care in the casting process and the use of well-prepared molds, displaying the unmistakable rough texture in the fields and the angled machine-applied edge design seen on comparatively few examples, unlike the majority which were file-finished and consequently thinner. This specimen was submitted to PCGS for grading and was returned as "Authenticity Unverifiable" (certificate included). In our opinion, it represents a straightforward attribution within the type, given the characteristic casting flaws and edge finishing, the distinctive edge design, and the cast texture in the fields as previously described. Metallic composition analysis reports silver at 0.9023%, zinc at 0.0014%, gold at 0.0026%, copper at 0.0922%, and lead at 0.0013%. As for preservation, it shows minimal friction on the high points, dirt around certain elements, and some faint scratches visible only under magnification, subtle dark patina. Weight 27.76 grams.
