At its height the Durrani Empire controlled modern Afghanistan with portions of Iran, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and northwestern India. Active from the mid-18th to mid-19th centuries, the Durrani Empire saw clashes with the Mughals and Sikhs, eventually leading to Durrani suzerainty over the areas of Punjab, Sindh, and Kashmir.
