| Lot description: European Politics: Germany, Prussia, Frederick the Great (1712-1740-1786), Accession to the throne, 1740, a plaster cast of the obverse of Jean Dassier's medal, in 18th century glazed and ebonised circular frame (cf. Eisler 252; Olding 511; Julius 333; Henck 3651); with an intaglio impression in blue glass, of the obverse of the medal by J. C. and J. M. Reich, on the death of Frederick, 1786, bust in bi-corn hat, 46.5mm. (cf. Olding 757-759), very fine (2) The former with a curious and misinformed label to the fame, "Son of George 2nd – Brunswick".
