Daulatabad, previously known as Deogir, became the capital and featured epithets like "Dar al-Mulk" and "Hadrat" (noted in AH 730). Sultanpur was the second mint, though it is less well-documented. The introduction of these coins aimed to standardize currency and facilitate trade, reflecting Tughlaq's economic ambitions.
