IC - XC Nimbate bust of Christ facing, raising his right hand in benediction and holding Gospel Book in his left. Rev. 'Ivan Asen Tsar' in Cyrillic to left and 'St. Demetrius' in Cyrillic to right Ivan Asen II, to left, crowned, standing facing wearing loros, holding cruciform scepter in his right hand, and St. Demetrius, to right, nimbate, standing facing, resting his left hand on sword; both supporting star-tipped staff between them.
