JOSEPHUS EMANUEL A GOYENECHE AREQUIPENSIS ORIGINE; reverse with long inscription inside legend MUNICIPIUM POTOSI IN GRATULATIONEM ASSERTORIS LIBERTATIS PATRIAE A 1811. Commemorative of Goyeneche's victory over the Argentines under Juan José Castelli at the Battle of Huaqui, re-establishing Spanish control over Upper Peru (now Bolivia).
