| Lot description: MEXICO, Mexico City, gold cob 8 escudos, (1714) J, "GRAT" variety, NGC MS 62 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). S-M30; KM-57.2; Cal-2212; Fr-6. 26.91 grams. Sharply detailed and well-centered shield with bold full denomination VIII over IIIV to right, full but doubled oMJ inside of most of GRAT, the cross nearly full but off-center with much legend visible (just not the date), rich in color and lightly lustrous all over.
