Lot description: Chola Dynasty, Raja Raja I (9-10 Century CE), Silver Kahavanu, Obv: the king standing facing right, holding aloft a globule in his left hand, four pellets below, a lamp at the left field, Rev: king seated front, holding up an object (lotus?) in left hand and right arm resting on the right knee, Nagari legend "Sri Raja/Raja" at right field, dotted border around the field on both sides, 4.0g, 20.04mm, (K. Ganesh # 1.6), good quality, about extremely fine, Extremely Rare.
