Murray, Testoons dies E/4, 4 = J. Wingate, Illustrations of the Coinage of Scotland (Glasgow, 1868), pl. XXVI, 11 (this coin); Burns 1 (fig. 780; same obv. die); SCBI 58 (Edinburgh), 284 (same dies); SCBC 5401. Lightly double struck on obverse, a superb full round coin with exceptional detail. Richly toned. Good VF. The finest known example of this delicate portrait issue of the eleven year old queen. Ex Spink 161 (14 November 2002), lot 140; Glendining (19 June 1990), lot 693; R.C.
