Lot description: The Geoffrey Cope Collection of British Coins. Henry VI. First reign, 1422-1461. AR Groat (28mm, 3.85 g, 4h). Unmarked issue. London mint; im: cross patonce. Struck 1453-1454. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; trefoils at cusps / Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters, with additional pellet in each. Whitton, Heavy 65b (this coin cited); North 1514; SCBC 1932. Tiny striking flaw on rim. Full flan. Toned. EF. Likely the finest known for this extremely rare Unmarked issue. Ex F.
