| Lot description: Great Britain Victoria gold 2 Pounds 1887 MS65 PCGS, KM768, S-3865, Marsh-T23. A tremendously pleasing Gem representative of the business strike which has a reported mintage of 91,345 according to Marsh. The obverse weaves a scintillating luster surrounding Victoria's stout effigy, with only minor wisps and ticks breaking the surfaces, rather inconsequential as a whole. The reverse is essentially free of blemish, with an occasional dapple of magenta toning accentuating the crevices. Very desirable at this level and higher, and we anticipate heightened bidding activity as this crosses the block.
