| Lot description: 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Muqtadir. AH 295-320 / AD 908-932. AV Dinar (23.5mm, 4.71 g, 12h). Amid mint. Dated AH 317 (AD 929/30). Bernardi 242Ha (recorded for the year AH 311 only); Album 245.2. Flan lamination on obverse. Near VF, edge knocks and scattered surface marks. Of the highest rarity, apparently unpublished and believed unique. Bernardi records only a single dinar from Amid, now in the British Museum, for the entire twenty-five year duration of al-Muqtadir's reign. Estimate: 15000 USD |  |
