Henry VIII, with Katherine of Aragon (1509-1547), Second Coinage, Gold Halfcrown, 1529-1532, Tower, hEnRIC? xx 8 xx DI' xx G' xx R' x AGL' x Z xx FRAC', crowned coat-of-arms, uncrowned h and K flanking, rev. RVTILAnS xx ROSA xx SInE xx SPInA x, crowned double rose, h and K flanking, 1.83g [28.2grns], 2h, m.m. lys over rose [both sides] (Schneider I, 601 same obverse die, albeit unaltered; SCMB, May 1970, G547 same dies; Clarendon I, 771 same dies; Whitton p. 180, iii variety; North 1794; Spink 2286), overt die break on reverse and areas of striking rust to obverse, a small mark on edge at 12 o'clock, otherwise sharply struck, a pleasingly good very fine to extremely fine, a rare mule.
