Bulgaria, Ferdinand I (1908-18), gold proof 100 Leva, 1912-dated, Sofia mint, design by Rudolf Marshall, official 1967-68 restrike commemorating the Independence of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire, bust left with Cyrillic Bulgarian legend ФЕРДИНАНДЪ I ЦАРЬ НА БЪЛГАРИТѢ surrounding, rev. crowned arms with branches of laurel and wheat dividing denomination, inscription ЦАРСТВО БЪЛГАРИЯ above, date below (KM 34; FR 5; Monev 40). About as struck, graded by NGC as PF66 Ultra Cameo.

Limited reissue of 5,000.

Bulgarian legend on obverse translates as "Ferdinand I, Tzar of the Bulgarians," and the inscription on the reverse as "The Tsardom Of Bulgaria."

The Bulgarian mint restruck proofs from the original dies in 1967-1968, as such they have the original dates on the coin itself.
