Grove-17B. By F. Gordillo. Diameter: 40mm. Commemorating the proclaiming of Agustin as emperor in Mexico City. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: Legend and date in six lines below radiant star. Some minor edge bruising is noted, but this example otherwise offers great brilliance and a captivating portrait of the emperor. Compare to a similar specimen, an NGC EF-40, that realized a total of $2,640 in our November 2023 CCO (Lot # 70295).
