| Lot description: Selection of Long Cross Pennies (7) | Henry III (1216-1272), Penny, Phase II, class 3ab, Lincoln, Ricard, 1.39g, (North 986/1; Spink 1362B), crisply detailed for issue, rim-fold to one o'clock, otherwise about extremely fine; Penny, Phase II, class 3ab, Ion, Newcastle, 1.55g (North 986/1; Spink 1362B), toned and residually lustrous, detailed portrait but flattened to edge, a bolder very fine; Penny, Phase II, class 3ab, Philip, Northampton, neat round bust, rev. PHILIP ON NORH, 1.37g (Spink 1363; BH 153), slightly crimped to edge, but otherwise fine to very fine; Penny, Phase II, class 3ab, Ion, Wilton, rev. ION ON WILTONE, 1.47g (North 986/1; Spink 1362B), flattened to half of the flan, however otherwise detailed and a bolder very fine; Penny, Phase II, Class 3b, Hereford, Roger, legend as before, neat round bust, rev.
