MIRDASID: Rashid al-Dawla Mahmud, 2nd reign, 1065-1074, BI dirham (0.83g), NM, ND, A-769, citing the Abbasid caliph al-Qa'im on obverse, the Great Seljuq 'Adud al-Dawla Alp Arslan Da'ud on the reverse, Aleppo style, struck after Mahmud accepted Great Seljuq overlordship in AH463 (1071 AD), in lieu of Fatimid loyalty; some weakness but overall a decent example, nearly VF, RRR.

Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Qaʾim bi-amr Allah (AH 422-467/AD 1031-1075), 'lā ilāha illā Allāh / waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū / al-Qāʾim bi-amr Allāh' ('There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. al-Qaʾim bi-amr Allah' in Arabic); in the margin, 'bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi Shīrāz sana sitt wa khamsīn wa arbaʿa miʾa' ('In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck in Shiraz in the year 456' in Arabic). Rev. Citing the ruler's name as Qara Arslan Beg, 'Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / al-malik al-ʿādil / Qarā Arslān Bik' ('Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
