Lot description: MIRDASID: Rashid al-Dawla Mahmud, 2nd reign, 1065-1074, BI dirham (0.83g), NM, ND, A-769, citing the Abbasid caliph al-Qa'im on obverse, the Great Seljuq 'Adud al-Dawla Alp Arslan Da'ud on the reverse, Aleppo style, struck after Mahmud accepted Great Seljuq overlordship in AH463 (1071 AD), in lieu of Fatimid loyalty; some weakness but overall a decent example, nearly VF, RRR.
