CIVITAS LOnDOn, long cross, trio of pellets to angles, 0.57g, 6h (North 1331b; Spink 1699), peripheral striking softness, otherwise darkly toned, very fine; additionally, Henry IV (1399-1413), Heavy Coinage, Penny, 1399-1413, York, crowned bust facing, with broad face and round chin, rev. CIVITAS EBORACI, long cross and pellets, quatrefoil at centre, 0.93g, 12h (Stewartby p. 267; North 1351; Spink 1722), dark field tone, weak as usual for issue but critically legible, good to fair, rare (2).
