| Lot description: Australia Half Sovereign 1855 Sydney Branch Mint, Marsh 380, VG or better, the obverse with a series of fine scratches, and some contact marks, the reverse with some scuffing to the rim around 3 o'clock. Very Rare with a mintage of just 21,000 pieces, It is estimated that no more than 50-60 pieces survive today, with many of these in low grade. High grade examples are virtually non-existent. This piece missing from many advanced gold collections, a rare opportunity to own a true iconic Commonwealth rarity.
