| Lot description: SRI LANKA (CEYLON), Native coinages. Vijaya Bahu I, 1055-1110. Kahavanu (Electrum, 21 mm, 4.16 g, 11 h), struck after the expulsion of the Cholas from Sri Lanka in 1070/1. King standing facing, head to right, holding rosebud in his left hand; around, different symbols. Rev. Sri ViJaYa Bahu (in Nagari) King seated right, holding cockle-shell in his left hand.
