Edward IV (First reign, 1461-1470), Light coinage, Half-Ryal, class VIa, London, mm. sun, saltire stops (double on rev.), 3.82g/12h (Whitton pl. XI, 1, this coin; SCBI Schneider 382; N 1554; S 1959). Scattered surface marks and edge nicks, trace of crease, otherwise good fine and extremely rare; this one of only a few known specimens and with an illustrious provenance £1,000-£1,200
