Lot description: China Republic Li Yuan-hung Dollar ND (1912) MS62 NGC, Wuchang mint, KM-Y321, L&M-45. Type without hat. From the incredibly popular portrait series of Dollars, created during the early republic era and a clear deviation in style from prior provincial dragon types. Of these, the earliest are those bearing the portraits of Sun Yat-sen and Li Yuan-hung, first provisional President and Vice President, respectively. On offer is a pleasing near-Choice specimen, imbued with a subtle champagne aura that enlivens the surfaces upon rotation. Among the more attractive examples of this collectible type. https://coins.ha.com/itm/china/china-republic-li-yuan-hung-dollar-nd-1912-ms62-ngc-/a/3111-34052.s?type=DA-DMC-CoinArchives-WorldCoins-3111-12092023 HID02906262019 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved Estimate: 8000-12000 USD |
