BURMA: TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-19th century, cast large tin coin (48.92g), Robinson-, Phayre-Plate III.3 (obverse only), 67.6mm; mythical hintha bird facing right, with long tail rising above, many extra feathers along its back, and holding a 9-leaf branch in its beak // Burmese ta-weh (for the city of Dawei in Tenasserim Province); an excellent example! bold VF, RR. From the same mold as Lot 993 in our Auction 43.

Estimate: 180-240 USD
