BURMA: TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, cast large tin coin (77.50g), Robinson-24 (Plate 9.4, same molds), 66mm; knotted dragon left with long protruding pointed tongue, no dots below the dragon // jumble of meaningless symbols, probably an emergency issue from the Perak region, nearly EF, RRR. Coins of this type, where the dragon rather resembles a snake, typically weigh in the 55g-75g range, and were found in the Perak hoard, noted by Robinson, pp. 56-58.

BURMA: TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, cast large tin coin (66.53g), Robinson-11 (Plate 8:2), 70mm; thin mythical hintha bird facing right, with long tail rising above, long feathers along its back, and holding what is probably a 9-leaf branch in its beak // 3-line Burmese legend (type B2), VF, RR. Robinson suggests that the obverse of this type imitates the obverse of the common lead weights; the crude production suggests that this is a local imitation or emergency casting, similar to the examples found in the Perak hoard.
