PHOENICIA, Tyre. Gallienus. AD 253-268. Æ Dichalkon (29mm, 18.02 g, 12h). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from front / Sacrifice to Melqart-Hercules: Tyche-Astarte standing right, both arms uplifted toward distyle temple to upper right, seen in perspective and containing upright club; to lower right, star above murex shell and lighted altar. Rouvier 2537 var. (rev. legend); AUB –; cf. BMC 490. Near VF, dark brown surfaces, some porosity. Rare.
