MESOPOTAMIA, Singara. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. AD 238-244. Æ (32mm, 25.98 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian right, facing diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina left / Tyche seated left on rocky outcropping, holding grain ears; above, Centaur (Sagittarius) leaping left, discharging bow; below, river-god Mygdonius swimming left. SNG Copenhagen 256; BMC 8-11. Near VF, green patina with earthen highlights, small edge flaw.
