MOESIA INFERIOR, Odessus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Medallion (35mm, 23.23 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, raising right hand and holding globe in left / Hygeia, feeding serpent from patera, standing right, facing Asclepius standing facing, head left, leaning on serpent-entwined staff. AMNG I 2315; Varbanov 4434 (R8). VF, worn brown patina, fields smoothed. Rare.

This and similar obverse dies were also used to strike medallion for Marcianopolis and Tomis.
