Elaia, Aeolis. Commodus. 177-192. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 19mm, 3.67 g 12), c. early 180s (or later?). ΑΥ ΚΑΙ ΚΟΜΟΔΟC Laureate and draped bust of Commodus to right. Rev. ΕΛΑΙΤΩΝ Demeter (perhaps Crispina?), fully draped, standing left, holding long scepter in her right hand and two long grain ears and a poppy in her left. Apparently unpublished. An attractive little coin with a fine dark patina. Extremely fine.
