MACEDON, Amphipolis, (1st-3rd century A.D.), AE 24 (10.63 grams), obv. city goddess seated left, holding phiale, around **AMFI[POL] EITWN*, rev. river god Strymon reclining left, head turned right, holding whip and reed, around CTRU[MW]N, (cf.S.4813. AMNG 63, SNG ANS -, SNG Cop.-). Dark tone, very fine, rare.
