MESOPOTAMIA, Singara. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. AD 238-244. Æ (31mm, 20.44 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian right, vis-à-vis diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina left / Tyche seated left on rocks, holding grain ears; above, Sagittarius leaping left, discharging bow; below, river-god swimming left. SNG Copenhagen 256; BMC 8-11. VF, dusty green and brown patina with earthen deposits.
