SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damascus. Philip I, with Philip II. AD 244-249. Æ (27mm, 16.36 g, 6h). IMPP DD NN PHILLIPVS AVGG, Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I right, vis-à-vis radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II left / METROP COL DAMA[S], agonistic urn containing cypress, inscribed [AΓIA] IЄPA/ CЄ[BA]CMIA; in exergue, ram's head right. DNW A6, lot 5726; otherwise unpublished. Fine, blue-green patina. Extremely rare, and better than the specimen sold by DNW.
