CILICIA, Mallus. Valerian I. AD 253-260. Æ (31mm, 17.15 g, 6h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, drapery on left shoulder, seen from the front, gorgoneion on breastplate / Valerian standing left, presenting statuette of Marsyas to Tyche standing right; to left, Amphilochus standing left, crowning Valerian and holding laurel branch; at his feet, bull standing right. RPC X Online 60493; SNG BN 1936; SNG Levante Supp. 312 (illus. as 311). Green patina with earthen highlights, porosity, deposits. Near VF. Very rare.
