EGYPT. Alexandria. Trajan, 98-117. Drachm (Bronze, 34.45 mm, 17.93 g, 1 h), year IZ = 17 = 113-114. ΑΥΤ - ΤΡΑΙΑΝ CEΒ - ΓEΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ Laureate bust of Trajan to right, with broad chest showing and aegis on his far shoulder. Rev. L IZ On the left, Ares standing facing, his head turned to right, holding parazonium in his right hand and spear in his left; on the right, Athena standing facing, her head turned to left, resting her right hand on a shield by her side and holding a spear with her left. Dattari (Savio) 807. Meissen K&G 27.532. RPC III 4781.3.17 (this coin). Well-struck and with a dark reddish-brown patina. Some traces of careful cleaning, otherwise, good very fine.
