THRACE, Anchialus. Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ (27mm, 6.91 g, 7h). Caecilius Servilianus, legatus Augusti pro praetore provinciae Thraciae. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind; c/ms: Bust of Athena left wearing Corinthian helmet in round incuse; ΔX in oval incuse / Commodus, wearing military dress, on horseback standing right, holding spear. AMNG 441 var. (horse galloping); RPC IV.3 4532; Varbanov 126. For cms: Howgego –; Howgego 534. Rough brown surfaces. Near Fine. Very rare, all known specimens are in similar grade.
