PONTUS, Neocaesarea. Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ (28mm, 15.95 g, 7h). Dated CY 171 (AD 234/5). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Two tetrastyle temples; between, urn with two palm fronds; above, agonistic urn with two palm fronds. Çizmeli 263 (D1/R3); RG 43 (same dies as illustration). Earthen green patina with some bare metal revealed. Fine.
