EGYPT. Alexandria. Galerius, as Caesar, 293-305. Tetradrachm (Potin, 18 mm, 7.87 g, 11 h), RY 2 = 293/4. ΓΑΛ ΜΑΞΙΜΙΑΝΟC Κ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Galerius to right. Rev. L - B / Γ Elpis standing left, holding flower in her right hand and raising her skirt with her left. Dattari (Savio) 6215. Emmett 4220.2. K&G 122.16. Very rare for this regnal year. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, very fine.
