PISIDIA. Sagalassus. Claudius II Gothicus, 268-270. 10 Assaria (Bronze, 34 mm, 22.26 g, 12 h). AY•K•M•AYP•KΛAYΔION Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Claudius II to right, seen from behind; on bust, rectangular countermark: bust of Tyche to left, wearing kalathos. Rev. CAΓAΛACCЄΩΝ Lion standing left on hind legs, head facing; below, I (mark of value). SNG Paris 1854. SNG von Aulock 5207. For countermark, Howgego 199. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, very fine.
