Phoenicia, Tyre. Caracalla. A.D. 198-217. AR tetradrachm (25 mm, 12.19 g, 5 h). Cos. IV (A.D. 213-217). AVT KAI AN-TωNINOC CЄ, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla right / ΔHMARX ? ЄΞ ? VΠATOC TO ? Δ ?, eagle standing facing on club, head left, holding wreath in beak; between legs, murex shell. Prieur 1551. Great style and sharply struck. Toned. Choice extremely fine.
