ACHAIA, Dyme. Julius Caesar. C. Arrius A.f. & C. Julius Tanginus, circa 40 BC. (Bronze, 22 mm, 5.63 g, 9 h). C•ARRI•A•F•C•I•D•C•IVL•TANG Laureate head of Julius Caesar to right, franked by two circular countermarks, one containing a star and the other an eagle. Rev. II•VIR•QVINQ•EX•D•D• Plow to right. BCD Peloponnesos 491. RPC 1283. Very rare and with a fine portrait. Flan crack at 7h, otherwise, very fine.
