EGYPT, Alexandria. Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ Diobol (23mm, 7.35 g, 12h). Dated RY 16 (AD 175/176). Laureate head right / Bust of Zeus-Ammon right, with slight drapery and wearing solar disk and horn, above ram standing right; to right, small lit altar: L Iς (date) across upper field. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 9334; K&G –; Emmett 2255.16 (R5) = ANS 1944.100.61371. VF, brown surfaces. Extremely rare type, especially as a diobol.
