Rev.: PAX AVG, Pax standing left, leaning on column to right, holding olive branch and winged caduceus over tripod to left. Au. 7,14 g. Beautiful and expressive portrait. Knock on edge. Rare. Although struck under Vespasian, this gold issue portrays his son and heir Titus as Caesar, the title reserved for the designated successor. Its reverse types belong to the broader Flavian propaganda program that followed the Jewish War of AD 66-70 and the triumph celebrated by Vespasian and Titus in AD 71. Within this context appeared such issues as Judaea Capta, Mars Victor, Roma Victrix, and numerous types alluding to Pax, understood as the peace imposed after Rome's victory over Judaea. The construction of the Templum Pacis, ordered by Vespasian and intended to house part of the spoils from the Temple of Jerusalem, including the celebrated Menorah, further reinforced this ideological program. Golpe en el canto. Rara. Aunque acuñada bajo Vespasiano, esta pieza de oro representa a su hijo y heredero Tito como César, título reservado al sucesor designado. Sus tipos de reverso se enmarcan en la propaganda flavia posterior a la guerra judeo-romana de 66-70 d. C. y al triunfo celebrado por Vespasiano y Tito en el año 71. En este contexto surgieron emisiones como Judaea Capta, Mars Victor, Roma Victrix y numerosos tipos alusivos a Pax, entendida como la paz impuesta tras la victoria romana sobre Judea. La construcción del Templum Pacis, ordenada por Vespasiano y destinado a custodiar parte del botín del Templo de Jerusalén, entre ellos la célebre Menorá, reforzó este programa ideológico.
