PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Darios I to Xerxes II, circa 485-420 BC. Siglos (Silver, 15.5 mm, 5.32 g), Sardes. Persian king, wearing radiate tiara, in running/kneeling stance to right, holding bow in his left hand, spear in his right and with a quiver over his shoulder. Rev. Oblong incuse. BMC Arabia pl. XXV, 17. Carradice type IIIb, Group A/B. Deeply toned. Banker's mark, otherwise, very fine.
