| Lot description: Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 22.74 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 126-127. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right. Rev. COS III / S C Roma seated left on cuirass, placing her right foot on helmet, holding Victory in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; behind, shield set on the ground. BMC 1295. Cohen 343. RIC 870. Bold and attractive. Light porosity, otherwise, good very fine. From the Pavlos Seitanidis Collection, ex Classical Numismatic Group E-Auction 596, 1 October 2025, 1079 and previously from the CLV collection formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
