| Lot description: KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.00 g, 8 h), uncertain mint in Macedon, circa 291-290. Diademed head of Demetrios to right, with bull's horn above his forehead. Rev. ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ - ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ Poseidon seated left on rocks, holding aphlaston in his right hand and trident in his left; in inner left field, Phrygian helmet left. Newell 136 (dies CXXXIII/276). Traces of cleaning and the obverse somewhat rough and with horn silver, otherwise, good very fine. This lot cannot be shipped to a US address. When delivered in Switzerland, this item is subjected to margin taxation in accordance with Art. 24a MWSTG (Swiss VAT Act), provided that the buyer is not registered for VAT.
