BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Hermaios, circa 105-90 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 2.41 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in the Paropamisadai. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣΩTHPOΣ - EPMAIOY Diademed and draped bust of Hermaios to right. Rev. 'Maharajasa tratarasa Heramayasa' ('of the Great King Hermaios the Savior' in Karoshti) Zeus seated slightly to left, raising his right hand and holding scepter in his left; to right, monogram. Bopearachchi 3E. HGC 12, 293. MIG 415i. SNG ANS 1338-40. Nicely toned. Very fine.
