ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.11 g, 12 h), Dionysi..., Dionysi... and Metro..., magistrates, 119/8. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. Α-ΘΕ / ΔΙΟΝ-ΥΣI / ΔΙΟN/YΣΙ / MH/TPO Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, Helios in quadriga; on amphora, H (?); below, ΣΦ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 566c. Rough surfaces, otherwise, nearly very fine.
