ATTICA. Athens. Circa 510-500/490 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 17.22 g, 2 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with dot pattern and small spiral on the bowl and round earring. Rev. AⴲE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig; all within incuse square. Asyut Group IVa. Nomos 21 (2020), 150. Seltman Group L. Cf. Svoronos pl. 6, 1-2. Very rare issue with archaic theta in ethnic. Struck from a somewhat worn and rusty obverse die and with two test cuts and minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
