LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 443-400 BC. AR Nomos (19.5mm, 7.78 g, 6h). Helmeted head of Athena right, hippocamp on bowl / Bull butting left; in exergue, fish left. Jörgensen –; HN Italy 1775 var. (helmet decoration); SNG ANS 940 (same dies); SNG Lockett 475 (same dies); Dow, ACTTB, p. 89 (this coin). Toned, much find patina remaining, compact flan, graffito in field on reverse. VF.
